Home Renovations

If you’re on the brink of a large home improvement project, remodel, or even building a home from scratch, then you want to hire LCD Construction Inc.

This portfolio showcases a facelift to the extrior of a home.  The owners were thinking about selling and wanted to improve curbside appeal.

The Owners of this 1980’s home loved their neighborhood but did not like the exterior design of their home, and decided it was time to update the look of the house by giving it a “real facelift”. As with many home owners, they could not figure out how or what would give the front of the house the look they wanted. Through an integrated design process involving conversations and computer generated drawings, they chose a design which included a restructure of the roofline, a porch extension, new cultured stone, and the addition of three new gables; one over the single car garage, one above the new master bedroom window area, and one above the new porch extension.

Prior to starting this project we knew that there would be a few challenges to resolve. The first challenge was that the original roof was not installed in a way which met current code requirements. Specifically, the standard felt underlayment had not been installed. We were also aware that the existing roof tile was no longer in production. In order to match the roof tile in the front of the house, we removed tile from the back of the home, that was out of view, and reinstalled it on the visible front side. The area on the back of the house was filled in with closely matching tiles.

The front remodel gave the home the up-to-date appearance the owners were looking for. The old siding was removed and replaced with a more modern stucco finish, three new gables, new windows, a porch extension, new attractive entry doors, and new cultured stone columns all worked together to create a new modern look for the existing home, and giving the curb appeal the owners were looking for.
